From the artist
*This photo was shot on film and is very soft and grainy. We decided to keep it because that’s part of its charm.* "The Grand Tetons were shrouded in wildfire smoke that evening, which in turn produced 'a stunning pallet of sky blue-pink' - as my great-grandfather used to call it. Taken with a Mamiya RB67 film camera and Kodak Portra 400."

Brendan Flesher is a native of Paradise, California. Ever since he was little he has loved camping, gold panning, and hiking in the mountains that he calls home. It was through this combined experience of growing up in a Sierra Nevada mountain town, working on the family ranch, and earning a master's in history that Brendan found a passion for capturing the American West using vintage film cameras.
